أسست يؤثر الرواحي الجمعية العمانية للسرطان، و هي منظمة غير حكومية غير ربحية لرفع الوعي وتقديم الخدمات لمرضى السرطان وعوائلهم، كان ذلك بعد تشخيصها هي بمرض السرطان. قضت ١٥ عاماً كرئيس للجمعية قبل ترك المنصب في مارس ٢٠١٦، و تحمل الآن لقب الرئيسة الفخرية لمدى الحياة. كما كانت يؤثر عضوة في مجلس الدولة للفترة من ٢٠١١ إلى ٢٠١٥. و تواصل الآن تقديم مشوراتها للمرضى و عائلاتهم ، و تواصل نشر رسالتها حول أهمية الفحص المستمر و التشخيص المبكر في لمكافحة السرطان
Yuthar AlRawahy founded the Oman Cancer Association, a non-profit patient advocacy NGO, after being diagnosed with cancer herself. She spent 15 years as president before stepping down in March 2016 and now holds the title of Honorary Life President. Yuthar was also a Member of the State Council (Majlis AlDowla) from 2011-2015. She continues to counsel cancer patients and their families and spread the message that regular examination and early diagnosis are life saving practices.
